Wash the rice gently under cold running water 2 to 3 times to rinse off any surface starch. Soak the grains in clean water for 20 to 30 minutes before cooking. Do not skip this—soaking allows the grains to expand evenly.

2.Measure the Water:1:2 Ratio.

For every 1 cup of soaked rice, use 2 cups of water. Bring the water to a gentle boil in a deep, heavy-bottomed pan. Add a pinch of sea salt or a teaspoon of organic ghee if desired.

3.Simmer on Low Heat:10-12 mins.

Drain the soaked rice and add it to the boiling water. Give it one gentle stir, turn the heat down to low, and cover tightly with a lid. Let it simmer undisturbed for 10 to 12 minutes until all water is absorbed.

4.Rest and Fluff:5 mins.

Remove the pan from the heat but leave the lid on for another 5 minutes to let the residual steam finish cooking the core. Take off the lid and gently fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
