Tapobhumi Sitopaladi Churna

Tapobhumi Sitopaladi Churna is a classical Ayurvedic respiratory formulation widely celebrated for its efficacy in relieving coughs, colds, chest congestion, and upper respiratory tract irritation. Derived from a traditional blend of sugar candy (Sarkara), Vanshlochan (Bambusa arundinacea), Pippali (Long Pepper), Ela (Cardamom), and Tvak (Cinnamon), this soothing churna balances Kapha and Pitta doshas in the lungs. It acts as a natural expectorant and demulcent—liquefying stubborn phlegm, soothing inflamed throat tissues, and relieving dry, spasmodic, or productive coughs.

Key Benefits

  • Relieves Dry & Productive Cough: Liquefies thick mucus and soothes raw, irritated throat membranes for rapid relief.

  • Clears Respiratory Congestion: Helps reduce nasal congestion, chest heaviness, and sneezing associated with seasonal colds.

  • Soothes Sore Throat & Hoarseness: Calms burning sensations in the throat and restores voice clarity during respiratory infections.

  • Supports Immune & Lung Health: Strengthens pulmonary defense mechanisms and aids quick recovery from seasonal flu and bronchitis.

Key Ingredients

  • Sarkara / Mishri (Rock Sugar Candy): Acts as a soothing demulcent base that reduces throat inflammation and calms Pitta irritation.

  • Vanshlochan / Bamboo Manna (Bambusa arundinacea): Rich in natural silica, it strengthens lung tissues, cools respiratory heat, and stops coughing.

  • Pippali / Long Pepper (Piper longum): A potent expectorant that thins mucus, enhances bioavailability, and kindles respiratory metabolism.

  • Ela / Green Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum): Aromatic spice that soothes spasms in bronchial tubes and refreshes breath.

  • Tvak / Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum): Provides antimicrobial action and warms the respiratory system to dispel excess Kapha.

Directions for Use

  • Take 1 to 3 grams (approx. 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon) 2 to 3 times daily.

  • Mix thoroughly with 1 teaspoon of pure honey or warm ghee, or take with lukewarm water.

  • Slowly lick the mixture off a spoon for optimal throat-soothing action.

  • Consume after meals or as directed by an Ayurvedic physician.

Safety Information

  • For oral consumption only.

  • Read the label carefully before use.

  • Diabetic Warning: Contains natural sugar candy (Mishri). Diabetic individuals should monitor blood glucose levels or consult a physician before regular consumption.

  • Consult an Ayurvedic practitioner if coughing persists for more than 2 weeks, or if accompanied by high fever or blood-stained sputum.

  • Safe for children under adult supervision in reduced dosages (approx. 500mg to 1g).

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Keep the jar tightly closed after each use.
